Mark Ivan Roblas is an accomplished science communication specialist with significant experience in science communication planning, science journalism, events management, and data journalism. He works as the Head of the Information Group, designing and monitoring communication strategies for the Philippine Council for Industry, Energy and Emerging Technology Research and Development. He also led the Science Explorer, the Philippines first mobile science learning facility that provides interactive science activities for students to entice them to be scientists in the future.

He has been elected as a member of the Scientific Committee of the Public Communication of Science and Technology Network, the global organization of science communication researchers and practitioners aimed at promoting new ideas, methods, intellectual and practical questions, and perspectives on the communication of science and technology. He currently serves in the Sub-committees of Social Media and Web and Bursary Committee and will be part of the Scientific Committee until 2029.

Currently, he is pursuing a PhD in Communication at the College of Media and Communication at the University of the Philippines – Diliman where he also serves as the Vice President for External Affairs of the UP CMC Graduate Students Association.
